At the top of the order, Rachin Ravindra, whose name has been on everyone’s lips, made the cut. New Zealand’s young sensation played fearless cricket, smashing 251 runs at an average of 62.75, including two magnificent centuries and taking 5 wickets in 5 games.

His remarkable performances with the bat and ball earned him the Player of the Tournament award, and now he finds a place as an opener in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Team of the Tournament. Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadran, who scored the highest individual score in Champions Trophy history with his masterful 177 against England, will be partnered with Rachin Ravindra at the top order.

Ibrahim Zadran finished the tournament with 216 runs at an average of 72. In the middle order, Virat Kohli, who reminded the world why he is called King Kohli, guided India to the title by contributing 218 runs at an average of 54.5. At 36, Kohli still looked at his peak with the bat.

Shreyas Iyer stood rock-solid at No. 4 for India in the CT 2025, amassing 243 runs with the help of two fifties in the tournament, and was handed the responsibility of the number four by the ICC. KL Rahul has been named the wicketkeeper of the Team of the Tournament. Rahul scored 140 runs at an average of 140, including unbeaten 42* and 34* against Australia and New Zealand, respectively, in the knockouts.

New Zealand’s Glenn Phillips also found a place in the team at number six, not just because of his batting but also for his jaw-dropping fielding efforts. Phillips amassed 177 runs at an average of 59 and took three mind-blowing catches that left fans in awe of him.

And then, when India needed a hero in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami stepped up. He delivered an impactful performance for his team, taking nine wickets, including a five-wicket haul against Bangladesh in the tournament.

New Zealand pacer Matt Henry, who is the tournament’s leading wicket-taker with 10 scalps, also bolstered the bowling attack of the ICC’s team.
