Former India cricketer Saba Karim gave a thrashing reply to his fellow England commentator Owais Shah during the ongoing fifth Test between India and England at Dharamsala. He echoed Rohit Sharma’s comment on Rishabh Pant to silence his counterpart.

India have taken complete command of the ongoing fifth Test against England in Dharamsala. One of the chief architects behind that has been skipper Rohit Sharma. The opening batter played a stellar innings and put his team at the top of the game.

Rohit Sharma hit a sensational century and helped India take the first-innings lead. He along with Shubman Gill, who also hit a century, dominated the England bowlers. What caught the attention of many was the scoring rate that India had when the duo was batting.

Rohit Sharma (103) and Shubman Gill (110) batted aggressively and at that time India had a run rate of around 5. This made England commentator Owais Shah ask Saba Karim about the reason behind Team India’s scoring rate on Day 2 of the ongoing game.

Saba Karim however, didn’t go easy on Owais Shah, stating that should he say the same what Rohit Sharma said about England not seeing Rishabh Pant bat. Speaking on aur during Day 2 of the match, he explained:

“Wahi jawab dun jo Rohit Sharma ne kahan tha ke aaplogon ne Rishabh Pant ko batting karte hue dekha nahi hai (should I respond the same way Rohit did, saying you guys have not seen Rishabh Pant bat)?”

Notably on the eve of the fifth Test, Rohit Sharma gave a savage reply to Ben Duckett’s comment. The England opener had said that his team deserves a lot of credit in India playing aggressively. The India captain was asked about the same in the presser.

Replying to that, Rohit Sharma had said: “There was a guy called Rishabh Pant in our team, probably Ben Duckett hasn’t seen him play.”

I honestly don’t know what [Bazball] means – Rohit Sharma

Rohit Sharma also shared his verdict on the Bazball, saying that he doesn’t know what that means. He, however, gave credit to England for the way they played in the series, claiming that they played better than the last time. Speaking during the press conference, he had said:

“I honestly don’t know what [Bazball] means, whether it is to go and strike, whether it is to go and defend and wait for the loose ball. I have not seen any wild swinging from anyone, so I don’t know exactly what this term means.

“But, yeah, clearly they have played better cricket from what they played the last time they were here. And you got to give credit to two of their batters who got big hundreds there and played well. They applied their method to get some success and they got it. But other than that I don’t know what it means.”

The ongoing series between India and England has already been won by the hosts. They are looking favorites to win the ongoing game as well.
