Rohit Sharma’s batting struggle continued, as the Indian captain has yet again let his team and fans down in the ongoing third Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 against Australia in Brisbane. This time, Australian captain Pat Cummins got the better of the Indian captain on Day 4 of the third Test in Brisbane.
Rohit Sharma played a loose shot, and he paid the price, dismissing cheaply for 10 runs off 27 balls to leave Team India in deep trouble in the ongoing third Test at The Gabba. Pat Cummins bowled a stunning delivery just outside off-stump, pitching up perfectly to tempt Rohit forward.
Fans furious after Rohit Sharma's another cheap dismissal in the Gabba Test
The Indian captain looked unsure, his feet stuck to the crease and cautiously pushed forward. The ball found the edge of his bat and went straight into Alex Carey’s gloves. The Australian wicketkeeper Alex Carey behind the stumps made no mistake, taking a clean catch.

After Rohit Sharma’s other flop show, Indian cricket team fans yet again showed their fury on social media, growing demands for the skipper’s retirement from the game. Many have been saying Rohit, who retired from T20Is earlier this year, chose the wrong format to retire.
Many fans have been slamming Rohit for his fitness, dropping catches, and struggling as India's captain to win the matches, with some feeling it's the downfall of his technique, so he must stay away from the team. Some Indian fans also called Rohit a lazy captain and lazy batter on social media.
Here's how fans slam Rohit Sharma for his poor batting show:

Rohit Sharma’s return to the Indian cricket team has not gone as planned on the ongoing Australia tour. After missing the first Test against Australia in Perth due to the birth of his child, the Indian captain made his comeback in the Pink Ball Test at Adelaide Oval.
Rohit Sharma’s poor form continues, just one fifty in last 10 innings raises concerns
However, Rohit failed to make an impact, managing only six runs in the first innings and three in the second. His struggles continued in the third Test at The Gabba, where Rohit was dismissed for just 10 runs, further raising concerns about his form and place in the Test side.
In his last 10 Test innings, Rohit has scored just one half-century and has struggled to reach double figures on six occasions. His recent scores read: 10, 6, 3, 18, 11, 8, 0, 2, 52, and 23, with a batting average of 13.30. His most recent century came in India when he scored 103 against England in the fifth Test, but since then, he has been far from his best.
Sadly, Rohit Sharma is now under increasing pressure with critics questioning his place in the Indian team and suggesting that the Indian captain consider retirement from the format at least. Fans are really frustrated with Rohit’s poor form in high-stakes Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25.
Speaking about the Gabba Test, Team India still needs 79 runs to avoid the follow-on. On the other hand, Australia is a bowler short, with Josh Hazlewood leaving the field due to calf soreness, and the tourists can make the most of this situation to tire the bowlers and avoid the follow-on.
