The India national cricket team, including skipper Rohit Sharma, recently appeared on Kapil Sharma's Netflix show and had a great time. Rohit Sharma humorously reacted to all-rounder Axar Patel, who struggled to imitate legendary MS Dhoni's signature helicopter shot during the episode.

Rohit Sharma, along with his T20 World Cup 2024-winning teammates, Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dube, Arshdeep Singh, and Axar Patel, attended the third episode of Season 2 of The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show. The World Cup-winning players enjoyed a fun-filled time on the comedy show.

Should Have Done The Helicopter Shot - Rohit Sharma

Comedian Kapil Sharma and his team entertained the cricketers with laughter and games during the show, engaging with a live audience. The Indian players had to guess the names of various players in one segment during the comedy show.

In a video shared by official broadcasters Netflix on X (formerly Twitter), Rohit Sharma held up a card with MS Dhoni's name on it. Axar Patel was asked to give hints to Rohit about the player. Axar failed to mimic Dhoni’s signature shot. Suryakumar Yadav then mimicked Dhoni's iconic helicopter shot.

Rohit quickly made the correct guess and teased Axar for not being able to imitate MS Dhoni’s signature shot. The amusing exchange between the three players has quickly gone viral across social media platforms on the internet.

“Ye to sabhi chakka marte hain, thoda alag tarika se dikhao (Everyone hits a sixer like that. Show something different, do it differently),” Rohit Sharma told Axar Patel.

“Mai karke dikhaun, pakad lenge turant (Shall I do it? I will do it. He will get it at once),” Suryakumar interrupted.

“MSD!” Rohit reacted.

“Helicopter ghuma na (You should have done the helicopter shot),” he then told Axar.

Helicopter shot is the signature shot of MS Dhoni, and fans may see him play again in IPL 2025. Chennai Super Kings are likely to retain him for the upcoming season as an uncapped player. Many international players, including Rashid Khan and Rishabh Pant, have attempted to replicate this iconic shot.

Rohit Sharma To Lead Team India In Champions Trophy And WTC Final

Rohit led India to victory in the T20 World Cup 2024 with a seven-run win over South Africa in the final in June.

He became only the second captain, after MS Dhoni, to win an ICC trophy for India in the T20I format. The Men in Blue ended their 11-year drought of ICC trophies with the victory.

The 37-year-old batter will captain the Indian cricket team for the upcoming ICC events, including the 2025 World Test Championship final and the 2025 Champions Trophy.

Team India previously reached the WTC final twice, in 2021 and 2023, but is still searching for its first title in their third attempt.
