Rohit Sharma will be extremely crucial for the team in the upcoming Test series against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The right-hander has been one of the best batters for the team in the longest format of the game for the last few years as he has been scoring truckloads of runs.

Rohit Sharma is the highest-ranked Indian batter in the ICC Test rankings. The opening batter has been the main reason behind the success of the team in the longest format of the game. Not only in the Bangladesh series, he will be key for India in the entire Test season for the India National Cricket Team.

After the two-match Test series against Bangladesh, India will be taking on New Zealand in three Tests. They will travel to Australia in November to play the five-tests series in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. All the games will be crucial for the team in the context of the World Test Championship.

India is currently at the top of the World Test Championship (WTC) standings with 74 points in 9 matches. Meanwhile, Australia holds the second spot, having accumulated 90 points in 12 Tests in this cycle. The two look favorites to play in the final of the 2025 edition of the tournament.

Rohit Sharma was last seen in action during the ODI series against Sri National Cricket Team. The right-hander was the leading run-getter for the team in the 50-over series as he played an attacking brand of cricket. While every other batter struggled to get going, he looked in a different mood and slammed two half-centuries.

Not only as the batter but Rohit Sharma will be important as the leader of the team as well. A lot would be reliant on him as he will have to bring his A-game as India looks to seal a place in the final of the World Test Championship.
