Rohit Sharma's fanbase forces MCA to expand seating for Mumbai vs J&K Ranji Trophy clash at BKC

Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) is all set to increase the seating arrangements at the BKC stadium for the game between Mumbai and Jammu & Kashmir in the Ranji Trophy 2024-25. The match between the two teams will be taking place from Wednesday (23rd January) and Indian stars including Rohit Sharma will be featuring in the game.
Mumbai Team will also be filled with Indian stars in Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Shreyas Iyer. Along with him, Ajinkya Rahane will be there as well along with some other exciting players, who will be playing in the match against Jammu & Kashmir in the second round of Ranji Trophy.
With big names in the action, the Mumbai Cricket Association is expecting fans to turn out in huge numbers to see their favorite players. Currently, there is seating for 100 spectators in the stadium, and the Association is likely to increase it to 500 seats for the upcoming game.

A source close to the Mumbai Cricket Association confirmed the development, saying that fans will have to show their identity cards at the entry point. He also mentioned that there will be security arrangements at BKC. Speaking to the Times of India, he explained:
"Normally, there are seating arrangements for 100-odd spectators at BKC, but we will have around 500 seats for fans near the ground machinery there. Fans will have to show their I-cards at the entry point. Considering the presence of the Indian stars, there will also be proper security arrangements at BKC too."
