Former India cricketer RP Singh revealed what the Indian players do during the rain breaks in the match. The cricketer-turned-commentator stated that most of the cricketers are focused on doing their fitness work.

RP Singh's comments came during the rain halt in the ongoing second Test between India and Bangladesh. The last game of the two-match Test series between the two teams commenced on Friday (27th September) at Green Park in Kanpur.

The ongoing Test between India and Bangladesh has played a massive part. Almost two sessions were washed out on Day 1 of the game. If this was not enough, the play was called off on Day 2 as well without a single ball being bowled, and both the teams were back in the hotel early on.

During the rain break, Indian players were seen having conversations with each other, but some were involved in the game of foot volley. Ravichandran Ashwin along with Rishabh Pant seen playing the game as the video was posted by commentator Dinesh Karthik on his social media

Most players continue doing their fitness work - RP Singh on what players do during rain break

While players spent time in the dressing room, RP Singh elaborated on how the players pass their time. He mentioned that most of the players work on their fitness as they try to achieve their gym targets during this free time. Speaking to IANS, he explained:

"Most players continue doing their fitness work, even while sitting in the dressing room. They keep ticking off all the boxes. Players usually try to achieve their gym targets during this free time. Some do cardio, others focus on weights - basically, they try to utilize this period to complete any pending tasks."

RP Singh also mentioned that during the rain break, players also focus on their cricket. He mentioned how everyone is looking into game plans as he revealed that during such situations, strategies also change. He added:

"Cricket is their primary objective, and everyone stays focused on the game plan. In such situations, strategies keep evolving with every passing minute." said RP Singh.

Coming to the match, India National Cricket Team won the toss and opted to field. They had a decent outing with the ball as they didn't let Bangladesh openers Shadman Islam (24) and Zakir Hasan. Akash Deep was right on the money with the ball as he removed both the openers in his first spell.

After that, Mominul Haque (40*) and skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto (31) brought the team back into the game with their 51-run stand. Just before the rain break, Ravichandran Ashwin removed Shanto to bring his team back into the game.

Before the umpire forced the players back in, Mushfiqur Rahim (6*), along with Haque, were on the crease before rain forced the umpires to call the day off. Bangladesh ended with 107/3 in 35 overs. India would be hoping to pick wickets early as the play resumes on Day 3.
