Rajasthan Royals (RR) batter Yashasvi Jaiswal has returned to form in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 after having a lean patch in the league. The batter played a sensational innings against Mumbai Indians (MI) on Monday (22nd April) at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Yashasvi Jaiswal, who got out after starts in the last few games, made sure that he lives up to the expectations in the game against Mumbai Indians (MI). The left-hander oozed his class with the bat and helped his team register their 9th win of the tournament.
In the chase of 180 runs, Yashasvi Jaiswal played with positive intent and set a great platform for his team. However, once he got his eye in he had no stopping as he hardly put a foot wrong and took the responsibility, batting with great maturity at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Yashasvi Jaiswal first stitched 74 runs partnership with Jos Buttler (35) but once the senior batter was back in the hut, he took the onus to himself and made sure that he outplayed Mumbai Indians out of the game as he attacked each and every bowler at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
Yashasvi Jaiswal first reached his half-century, which was his first in the season. The batter looked relaxed after that and his celebration of reaching the milestone was proof of that. He looked extremely jubilant as he did a 'muscle celebration' while looking at the dressing room.

After he reached his half-century, Yashasvi Jaiswal made sure that he doubled it up. He batted incredibly well after that and racked up his second ton against Mumbai Indians. The left-hander reached the milestone in just 59 balls at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
As he hit the ton, he looked absolutely thrilled. He removed his helmet and brought out his trademark celebration.

Yashasvi Jaiswal ended with an innings of 104 runs off 60 balls. He batted with a strike rate of over 173 and also slammed 9 fours and 7 sixes in his innings. His blistering innings saw Rajasthan Royals chasing the target with 9 wickets and 8 balls to spare.

Yashasvi Jaiswal talked about his innings after the match. He expressed his delight and stated that he wanted to play proper cricketing shots. He also thanked team management and skipper Sanju Samson for backing him and giving him opportunities. Speaking to broadcasters, he explained:
"Thank you so much, I really enjoyed it from the start and I made sure I was watching the ball properly and playing proper cricketing shots. I’m trying to do what I am doing well, some days it comes good and some days it doesn’t, I’m not thinking much.
"I want to thank all my seniors for the way they have guided me. I want to thank the Rajasthan Royals management and especially Sanga sir and Sanju bhai for giving me opportunities. I go out and give my best in the practice sessions and I’m so happy today," he concluded.
