South Africa and Bangladesh go head to head in the T20 World Cup 2024 in New York on Monday. The match starts at 8 pm IST which is 1030 am local time. This is the second game for both teams.

South Africa led by Aiden Markram has already won a match against Sri Lanka. They had to huff and puff to win the match after bowling out Sri Lanka for just 77.

The match was not an ideal advert for T20 cricket as the pitch was below par. Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are part of Group C alongside Sri Lanka, Netherlands, and Nepal.

The ICC came up with an official statement after the first two games in New York. The first game saw Sri Lanka score just 77 while Ireland scored just 96 against India.

The India vs Ireland game saw a few players get injured due to the variable bounce on the wicket as well. The ICC has assured that better pitches will be prepared for the upcoming games.

South Africa and Bangladesh both lost a T20I series heading into this World Cup. While South Africa lost to the West Indies, Bangladesh lost to the USA.

Both teams are very mercurial and can be at their best or worst on match days. That this match will be played in New York will mean it will grab many eyeballs for different reasons.

The T20 World Cup will be played across nine different venues. The Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York hosted two matches two matches both of which did not go out as expected.

USA, meanwhile have turned out as Giant killers as they chased down 195 against Canada in their first game and beat Pakistan in the Super Over in their second game.
