Sachin Tendulkar Not Participating In Legends League Cricket, Confirms SRT Sports Management

SRT Sports Management Private Limited on Saturday confirmed that the legendary Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar will not be participating in the upcoming Legends League Cricket (LLC).

The Legends League Cricket (LLC) is an official tournament for retired cricketers and it recently made an announcement regarding India’s squad for the tournament.

In a promotional video that featured Amitabh Bachchan, it was shown that the batting legend Sachin Tendulkar will be participating in the league. However, the official spokesperson of SRT Sports rejected the claims and confirmed that Tendulkar is not taking part in the league. The official spokesperson also requested organizers to not provide misleading pieces of information to fans of Sachin Tendulkar and actor Amitabh Bachchan.

“The news about @sachin_rt ’s participation in ‘Legends League Cricket’ is not true. The organisers should refrain from misleading cricket fans and Mr Amitabh Bachchan. – Official spokesperson, SRT Sports Management Pvt. Ltd,” wrote the firm in a tweet while reacting to Bacchan’s promotional post.

Meanwhile, the tournament is set to begin on January 20 and it will feature three teams. Some notable names in the Indian team (India Maharajas) will be Yuvraj Singh, Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, and the Pathan brothers — Irfan and Yusuf.

Also, the Asia team ‘Asia Lions’ was announced by the LLC which comprises former Pakistani and Sri Lankan players including Shoaib Akhtar, Shahid Afridi, Sanath Jayasuriya, Muttiah Muralitharan, Chaminda Vaas, Romesh Kaluwitharana, Tillakaratne Dilshan, Azhar Mahmood, Upul Tharanga, Misbah-ul-Haq, Mohammed Hafeez, Shoaib Malik, Mohammed Yousuf, Umar Gul and Asghar Afghan.
