Salman Ali Agha slams India for disrespecting cricket after the Asia Cup 2025 Final
After the Asia Cup 2025 final in Dubai, Salman revealed that Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav did shake hands with him in the press conference at the start of the tournament and even during the referee’s meeting after their group match controversy.
The Pakistan captain further accused Suryakumar of playing a political pawn in front of the entire world, saying he was just following the instructions he had been given by the Indian government. He stressed that whatever India did with Pakistani players was really disappointing.
Salman said at the post-match press conference, “They think by not shaking hands they are disrespecting us. No. That is a disrespect to cricket. Today also, what they did—a good team doesn’t do that."
"Good teams do what we did, go and do the photoshoot alone, and take the medals as well. Whatever they are doing with the game, I don’t want to use very harsh words, but, to be very honest, this is very disrespectful to the game, not anyone else.”
