Sandeep Patil To Contest Mumbai Cricket Association President Election- Reports

Sandeep Patil, the former Indian Cricketer once again has made headlines. The former Cricketer has decided to contest for the President’s post in the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA). This election is scheduled to be held on September 28. There’s some interesting point to this move; as till Thursday (08th September), he had denied contesting the election.
Sandeep Patil earlier also wanted to contest the previous election too but got involved in a conflict of interest as he was doing a Marathi commentary assignment for Star Sports during the Indian Premier League. It would be interesting to see how things unfold for the Experienced Campaigner as this would be his first stint in the field of Cricket Administration.
Sandeep Patil on Contesting Elections
Sandeep Patil was seen talking with Indian Express. “I will be contesting for the MCA president post. Last time I had to withdraw due to the conflict-of-interest clause. However, I decided this morning to contest after talking to my family and senior MCA friends.” Patil said.
Sandeep Patil A Great Leader
Sandeep Patil has been a great servant of Cricket as he was a Chief Selector of the Indian Cricket Team, he also coached India, Kenya & Oman and was also the head of the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore. The veteran had taken Kenya to the semi-final in the 2003 World Cup against all the odds which says a lot about his technique and way of working. The former cricketer has a very good track record and it won’t be a surprise if he gets elected as the President of the Mumbai Cricket Association.
It would be interesting to see the other candidates who are contesting the elections. The veteran has got ample experience as a coach so many times can work for the Association as youngsters often need someone who can understand them. There is no doubt that he is an experienced campaigner who can do wonders for the Mumbai Cricket Association.
