Australian legendary cricketer David Warner was seen involved in an awkward field moment with the Karachi Kings team director, Haider Azhar. The Karachi Kings skipper later issued a clarification on the incident in response to a fan on social media.

The Karachi Kings had qualified for the playoffs of the competition in the 10th edition of the PSL in 2025. They had, however, lost in the Eliminator 1 against the former champions, the Lahore Qalandars.

However, Karachi Kings have made a promising start to the competition with three consecutive wins, that too against major fronts. They won the game against the Lahore Qalandars, the defending champions, after the infamous ball-tampering incident.

David Warner's on-field altercation with the team director

Australian legendary batter and World T20 veteran David Warner has been spotted captaining the PSL franchise Karachi Kings. The renowned T20 star has dominated world cricket throughout his career and continues to prove his excellence.

After he led the Karachi Kings to a massive win chasing a 198-run target in their Thursday game against the Rawalpindi Pindiz, he was seen involved in an awkward conversation with some of his Karachi teammates, including Moeen Ali, which prompted Team director Haider Azhar to intervene.

The video of the incident quickly went viral on social media, especially as it came not long after the equally awkward instance between LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka and captain Rishabh Pant. Much like the LSG owner, even David Warner was seen disappointed with some actions from his players.

David Warner issues a clarification about the post-match scenes

Following the incident, which went viral on social media platforms, a fan asked Haider what had actually happened during the event. However, before the Team Director could explain, it was the skipper who responded to the query.

"What was the conversation going on here @HaiderAzhar, Good win Alhamdu Lillah, No one can stop us this Season in Sha Allah," the fan asked.

Replying to the post, Warner said that he asked Haider to go and shake hands with the players of the opponent team first. "I said to @HaiderAzhar to go first and shake hands," he said.

Azam Khan led Karachi Kings to 3rd straight win in this PSL

After having posted a massive target of 198 runs for the Karachi Kings, the David Warner-led side produced wonders as they chased the big target. Muhammad Waseem and Warner handed them a quick start.

While Waseem set the powerplay in full swing, Warner added stability to the batting innings with his first half-century of the season. However, the match-winning knock came from wicket-keeper batter Azam Khan, who produced a really special knock.

Azam scored 78-runs off 34 balls and batted with a strike rate of 217.65. Once again, Abbas Afridi helped Karachi seal a victory with a colossal six in the very first delivery he faced in the innings. Kings chased the target with 5 wickets and 4 balls remaining in the innings.
