Team India have received a big boost ahead of the crucial third T20I against Zimbabwe as T20 World Cup winners Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, and Shivam Dube have linked up with the team.

They missed the first two T20Is due to the delay in departure from Barbados after the T20 World Cup on June 29. While Team India was scheduled to leave the island nation on July 1, they could do it only on July 3 due to Hurricane Beryl.

It was followed by a victory parade in the country on July 4 before the players finally managed to leave for Harare this week. After it was confirmed that the trio would not be available for at least the first two games of the five-match series, the BCCI had named Harshit Rana, Sai Sudharsan, and Jitesh Sharma as replacements.

However, none of them managed to get a chance in the playing eleven in the first two games and have now been replaced in the squad. The BCCI, however, has not confirmed whether Rana, Sudharsan, and Sharma would return to India or would stay with the team for the rest of the series.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson and Shivam Dube link up with Team India:

The BCCI, on Tuesday (July 9), confirmed that Jaiswal, Samson, and Dube have linked up with the Indian team in Harare. Jaiswal and Samson were named in the original squad while Dube was later named as an injury replacement for Nitish Reddy.

In the T20 World Cup, Jaiswal and Samson did not play a single game while Dube played in all eight matches as India won the tournament. With the trio linking up with the team, the Indian team management is expected to make a number of changes to the playing eleven.

It would be interesting to see who makes way for Jaiswal in the team. Captain Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma opened the innings in the first two games. While Gill has not really managed to impress so far, Sharma scored a blazing century in the second game and is likely to retain his spot in the team.

On the other hand, Samson is expected to replace Dhruv Jurel behind the stumps while Riyan Parag could make way for Dube. Meanwhile, the series is locked at 1-1 and the third game is scheduled to take place on Wednesday (July 10).
