Shadab Khan's dream T20 XI includes Rohit Sharma, leaves out Pakistan players

Pakistan National Cricket Team all-rounder Shadab Khan has come up with a dream T20 team that has surprised many fans. Surprisingly, Shadab Khan did not include a single player from Pakistan in his perfect T20 players’ list as he went with some of the biggest T20 stars from around the world.

Shadab Khan picks Rohit Sharma as captain of his dream T20 team

Speaking on Cricwick, Shadab Khan has picked Rohit Sharma as his opener and captain. The Indian opener is one of the most successful captains and batters the T20I has ever seen in history. Amid this,

The right-handed batter has played 171 T20Is and scored 4,620 runs at an average of 32.99, including 5 centuries and 32 fifties. Rohit also led India to the 2024 T20 World Cup title and has won five IPL trophies as Mumbai Indians captain, making him one of the greatest T20 captains.

Nicholas Pooran and Kieron Pollard earn middle-order spots.

For the power-hitter's role, Shadab picked West Indies’ explosive batter, Nicholas Pooran. Pooran has played more than 110 T20Is for the West Indies and has scored 2,200+ runs. He is also one of the highest run-scorers in franchise cricket, with over 7000 T20 runs.

Shadab selected another West Indies legend, Kieron Pollard, as his all-rounder. Pollard played 101 T20Is, scoring 1,569 runs and taking 42 wickets. He is one of the all-time greatest T20 all-rounders with more than 14800 runs and over 300 wickets to his name in 746 games.

Shane Bond and Sunil Narine lead the bowling attack.

Shadab went with former New Zealand pacer Shane Bond as his fast bowler. Although injuries limited his career, Bond played 20 T20Is and took 25 wickets and made name for his raw pace and bowling action. Shadab selected former South Africa wicketkeeper-batter Quinton de Kock as his wicketkeeper. De Kock played 106 T20Is, scoring 2,584 runs with the help of one century and 17 fifties. Overall, he has scored more than 10,000 runs in T20 cricket and has been one of the most consistent performers in the format.
