KKR storm into final:
Talking about the game against SRH, KKR thrashed the Hyderabad-based outfit in the first qualifier to book their place in the final. The two-time IPL champions thoroughly dominated the contest to qualify for the final for the fourth time.
Barring the toss, everything fell in place for the Shreyas Iyer-led side. Bowling first, KKR bowled out high-flying SRH for a modest total of 159 runs. At one stage, SRH were reeling at 126 for 9 before Pat Cummins' 30-run knock helped them post a 150-plus total. Mitchell Starc starred with the ball, taking three big wickets in the powerplay while in-form spinner Varun Chakravarthy claimed two.
In reply, KKR chased down the total in less than 14 overs and lost just two wickets. Captain Shreyas Iyer and Venkatesh Iyer scored unbeaten fifties to take their team home in style. KKR will now face the winner of the second qualifier in the final. SRH will face either Rajasthan Royals or Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the final.
