Deepti Sharma performed a mock ‘Mankad’ in the final over of Day 3 of the ongoing India Women’s vs England Women’s (INDW vs ENGW) Test match at Lord’s. England batter Sophie Ecclestone was out of her crease when Deepti Sharma went to round her arms.
The incident brought back the controversial 2022 incident where Deepti Sharma ran out England's Charlie Dean at the non-striker's end to secure a series sweep for India. After the end of Day 3, Sophie Ecclestone was asked about Deepti Sharma's intention to run her out at the non-striker’s end.
Please @BCCIWomen don’t deprive us from all this by not giving our beast of a team more test matches🙂↔️

Sophie Ecclestone on Deepti Sharma's tendency to Mankad batters
Sophie Ecclestone said that she had no special feelings about the incident as the Indian all-rounder tried the same trick multiple times in the past.
“I mean, to the media, no, but there were a few words, yeah. I mean, it happens all the time, and she does it all the time. So, I mean, I've got no comment on it. But I feel like it's very wary that I don't know my feelings on that. But, yeah, she does it all the time,” Sophie Ecclestone told the reporters in London.

India is leading the match to claim a historic win
At the end of Day 3, the India Women’s cricket team is in the lead to claim the historic Test match at Lord’s. Since the inception of Women’s cricket, it is the first-ever Women’s Test match at this iconic venue. For both India and England, the match is a must-win event, as the winner will create history.
The England Women’s cricket team also has a fair chance to surpass the hurdle set by India if they can keep their remaining four wickets intact. With only 4 wickets in hand, the hosts need 327 runs to win the match. And for India, they need four wickets to seal the match.
So far, in both of the innings, India has performed better than England. In the first innings, the Women in Blue secured 285 runs while England got only 170 in exchange for all of their wickets. The visitors increased their lead by scoring 341 runs for 7 before declaring the innings.
Yastika Bhatia created a record by scoring a century at Lord's
Yastika Bhatia created a record by smashing the first-ever women’s Test century at Lord’s. In India’s 341 runs, Yastika contributed 113 runs from 158 balls. Her innings was decorated with fourteen 4s.
“I think it’s unbelievable. Six months ago, I was in a very different place. And if you would have told me then I would have my name on the honours board, I wouldn’t have believed it,” the 25-year-old told the reporters after the stumps.
Smriti Mandhana, one of the openers of the team, scored 70 off 130 and shared a considerable amount of time on the pitch with Yastika. The centurion mentioned that while she was batting with Smriti, she received some valuable advice from her batting partner.
“I had a conversation with her, and she just looked at me, and she said, ' This is going to be the turning point in your career,” she added.
