Shivnarine Chanderpaul To Resign From USA Head Coach Post U-19 World Cup

USA Cricket is all set to take part in the upcoming U-19 Women’s & Women’s T20 World Cup which would be their maiden appearance in the ICC tournament. USA Women’s Cricket Team can prove to be the surprise package in the tourney.

USA Cricket has been tipped to change the face of Women’s Cricket. The 2023 T20 World Cup can be a fascinating contest as we can expect a lot of upsets. USA Head Coach Shivnarine Chanderpaul‘s role would be quite pivotal in the championship.

Shivnarine Chanderpaul to Resign

Head Coach Shivnarine Chanderpaul has decided to part ways with USA Cricket after the conclusion of Women’s U-19 T20 World Cup 2023 & T20 World Cup 2023.  USA Cricket Hall of Famer  and multi discipline coach Jatin Patel made interesting comments on Chanderpaul.” We already have a dozen renowned head coaches disconnected from the national teams since the new board is in place and I doubt if Shivnarine will renew his contract after the U-19 World Cup in South Africa.”  said Jatin Patel.

“I had a word with Shivnarine Chanderpaul’s manager Jerin Chako to clarify and Chacko has confirmed he will not consider extending or renewing  Chanderpaul’s contract after the Women’s U-19 World Cup in South Africa.” he added.

Shivnarine Chanderpaul an Asset

The left handed batter recently got inducted into ICC Hall of Fame as well as into USA Cricket Hall of Fame. In July 2022, he led USA U-19 Women’s Cricket Team to the title in the Caribbean where they defeated the defending champion Trinidad & Tobago.

Chanderpaul was also the Head Coach of Jamaica Tallawahs and took them to the CPL 2022 title. Chanderpaul now has started making headlines in coaching setup. It would be interesting to see whether Chanderpaul coaches a West Indies National Cricket  Team as we all know Phil Simmons has resigned from the post.
