Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh has reacted to Abhimanyu Mithun’s bizarre no-ball in the ongoing T10 League as the pacer faces accusations of spot-fixing. The controversial incident took place during the 14th match of the competition between Northern Warriors and The Chennai Braves on Saturday (December 2).

The former India fast-bowler is plying his trade for the Northern Warriors in the competition. And while he has performed really well in the competition so far, he has been hogging the limelight for all the wrong reasons. A clip of the pacer bowling a bizarre no-ball against the Northern Warriors recently went viral on social media, leaving the fans and experts stunned.

Abhimanyu Mithun overstepped his mark and bowled a no-ball. While bowling a no-ball by overstepping is not rare in the game, missing the mark by a long way certainly raises a number of eyebrows, especially by an experienced player like Abhimanyu Mithun.

It did not take the fans long to compare the incident with the infamous no-ball bowled by Pakistan bowler Mohammad Amir during the 2010 spot-fixing scandal. While it could be an unintentional no-ball from Abhimanyu Mithun, the cricketing fraternity is definitely stunned by it.

Even Harbhajan Singh is surprised by the incident. The World Cup-winning former spinner who played competitive cricket for more than two decades took to X to react to the incident. While he did not write anything, the emojis he shared made his feelings very clear.

Here is the post from Harbhajan Singh:

As far as the fast bowler’s performance in the game is concerned, he impressed once again with the ball. In two overs, the former Karnataka pacer conceded 11 runs and picked up 2 wickets although his team lost the game by 5 wickets. Mithun is currently the third-highest wicket-taker in the tournament with 7 wickets from 5 games. On the other hand, the Warriors are languishing at the sixth spot in the points table with 2 wins from 5 matches.
