Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill once again took to Instagram following his team's win over Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur on Saturday.

In IPL 2026, Gill has made a bit of a habit out of trolling any and all teams that his team have managed to beat. GT's win against RR was the 2022 Champions' fourth in a row in IPL 2026.

Key Points

  • Shubman Gill once again trolled an IPL team on Instagram after Gujarat Titans defeated Rajasthan Royals.
  • Gill posted a photo with Rashid Khan and captioned it “Pink City, blue result. Khamma Ghani.”
  • Gujarat Titans defeated Rajasthan Royals by 77 runs in Jaipur to register their fourth straight win.

GT vs RR IPL 2026: GT go second on the points table after an emphatic win over RR

At the Sawai Man Singh Stadium on May 9, Yashasvi Jaiswal's decision to bowl first did not get Rajasthan Royals the result they were hoping for. Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan put up a record-equalling ninth-century stand between the two of them.

RR's 19-year-old leg spinner Yash Raj Punia dismissed Sudharsan for 55 in the eleventh over, but the opening stand had reached 118. In typical fashion, Gill had started slightly slow, but picked up the pace to ultimately make 84 runs in 44 balls.

Despite losing Jos Buttler early, Washington Sundar picked up the finisher's duties to take GT to an imposing 229.

RR's chase didn't go to plan either. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi launched the way he is supposed to, but crashed early. Dhruv Jurel, too, went slam bang, but his cameo was cut short by Player-of-the-Match Rashid Khan.

Rashid's spell of 4/33 essentially broke the back of RR's middle order. No one from RR's middle order could make a real contribution except Ravindra Jadeja, who top-scored with 38, but Rashid had his number too.

Despite being introduced later into the attack, Jason Holder cleaned up the tail to give GT a 77-run win and take them to second on the points table.

Shubman Gill trolls Rajasthan Royals

After the match, Gill took to Instagram to fire shots at the Rajasthan Royals. In each of GT's previous three wins, Gill had trolled the losing team.

For example, after GT beat Chennai Super Kings on April 26, Shubman Gill posted a photo of himself holding a yellow whistle.

Shubman Gill Instagram posts:

After GT's win over Royal Challengers Bangalore on April 30, Gill posted an appreciation post for Player of the Match Jason Holder.

Gill still found the words to take a cheeky dig after GT beat Punjab Kings on May 3.

Now, Shubman Gill has decided to take on the Rajasthan Royals. After GT's win, Gill posted a photo of himself and Rashid Khan closing their ears. The photo was captioned "Pink City, blue result. Khamma Ghani."

Rajasthan's state capital, Jaipur, is known as the Pink City, while 'Khamma Ghani' is a traditional Rajasthani greeting.

Shubman Gill's form in IPL 2026

Gill has now led the Gujarat Titans to four wins in a row and the second spot on the points table. His own form with the bat has played an important part in this mid-season resurgence.

With 462 runs in 10 matches, Gill is currently fourth on IPL 2026's Orange Cap list. He has made 4 fifties, and his runs have come at an average of 46.20 and a strike rate over 160.
