"Sickening To See You Laugh On National TV Ramiz Raja.."- Viv Richards' Daughter

Masaba Gupta has slammed former Pakistan batsman Ramiz Raja for his involvement in a racist incident involving her parents Viv Richards and Bollywood actor Neena Gupta.

Richards and Neena were briefly in a relationship and had Masaba outside of marriage before separating. Masaba Gupta was raised by Neena as a single parent. Earlier this year in January, Richards visited India to attend his daughter’s wedding.

Talking about the controversial incident, it took place during a television show in Pakistan. A video of the incident recently went viral on social media in which Ramiz Raja could be seen laughing as a comedian makes a derogatory joke about the legendary Viv Richards’ skin color. He poked fun at the former cricketer and referred to him as ‘kaalia’ (meaning dark-skinned). Ramiz Raja along with other guests was seen laughing at the derogatory remark.

After the video went viral, Masaba Gupta took to social media to slam Ramiz Raja, accusing him of lacking grace In her post which has gone viral and has garnered more than a million views, the celebrity designer took a firm stand for her parents and wrote:

“Dear Ramiz Raja (sir) grace is a quality few have. My father,mother and I have it in spades. You have none. Earlier, former Pakistan allrounder Abdul Razzaq was severely criticized for making a derogatory remark about Bollywood actor Aishwarya Rai. He was slammed by fans as well as his former teammates before he decided to issue an apology.

“We don’t really intend to improve and develop the players, in my opinion. It is like if you think you will marry Aishwarya (Rai) and have a good-natured and moral child. It will never happen like that. First, you will have to fix your intentions,” he had said.
