SL vs SA Live Streaming- South Africa tour of Sri Lanka 2021- How To Watch The Match In Your Country? South Africa and Sri Lanka are set to play a three-match T20 series, starting Friday.

For both these two teams, this will be the final shortest format series before the start of the T20 World Cup. Both the teams would look to figure out their possible playing 11 before they take the field in their respective opening fixtures of the T20 World Cup.

Sri Lanka’s record in the T20 series isn’t really pleasing. However, in the last series they played, they won that by a margin of 2-1. Although it was against a second-string Indian team, it would give them a lot of confidence.

What’s more?

They have beaten South Africa in the recently concluded ODI series by a 2-1 margin. Ahead of the T20 World Cup, Sri Lanka would be wanting to come out triumphs in the T20 series as well. The home conditions would always be an advantage. Their batting unit consists of the likes of Avishka Fernando, Asalanka, Rajapaksa, and Dhananjaya de Silva. All are amongst the runs and have shown in the recent past what they are capable of.

Kusal Perera’s return to the team is further going to bolster the batting unit. However, whether he is fit to play or not is yet to be ascertained. As far as the bowling unit is concerned, all eyes will be on Wanindu Hasaranga. Whether he will be able to replicate the performances he exhibited against India remains to be seen.

He will be supported by the likes of Akila Dananjaya and Rajapaksa, both of whom are amongst the wickets. Chameera will lead the pace bowling unit, while Kuranaratne continues to impress one and all with his all-round contribution with bat and ball.

South Africa might have lost the ODI series but their recent record in T20 cricket is anything but disappointing. They are coming into the series on the back of a 3-0 whitewash against Ireland. Prior to that, they also defeated West Indies by a 2-1 margin.

Their regular skipper, Temba Bavuma will be missing out but the return of Quinton de Kock and David Miller should keep the team in good stead. Add Aiden Markram, Rassie Van der Dussen, and Reeza Hendricks and South Africa’s batting unit look quite strong on paper.

In the bowling department, they have Tabraiz Shamsi, who has picked the most number of wickets in T20 internationals this year. On a slow track at R Premadasa Stadium, he will hold key to South Africa’s fortunes in the series. South Africa have Kagiso Rabada and Wiaan Mulder as potential seamers. In the absence of Bavuma, Keshav Maharaj should lead the side.
