Sourav Ganguly’s Wife Dona Ganguly Admitted To Hospital With Chikungunya; In Stable Condition

Dona Ganguly, wife of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Sourav Ganguly, was admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata on Tuesday after being diagnosed with Chikungunya. According to reports, she was admitted to the Woodlands Hospital in Kolkata late on Tuesday night due to fever, joint pain and rashes.
Dr. Rupali Basu, MD, of Woodlands Hospital, who stated that Dona’s health is now stable and that she is being closely monitored.
“Dona Ganguly has been diagnosed to be suffering from Chikungunya. She remains haemodynamically stable and afebrile, and is on maintenance IV fluids,” Woodlands Hospital MD and CEO Dr Rupali Basu said.
While Sourav Ganguly has not released any statement about his wife’s health, Sourav’s brother Snehash Ganguly has stated that Dona Ganguly is fine and her condition is stable.
While the hospital issue has been given priority, Sourav Ganguly has reportedly visited the hospital and interacted closely with the doctors. According to reports, Sourav Ganguly’s daughter Sana was not present as she is currently studying in London.
