Andhra Pradesh batter Hanuma Vihari took a brutal dig at IPL broadcasters Jio Cinema for ignoring Sunrisers Hyderabad in their latest post on X.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad are just a win away from confirming their spot in the IPL 2024 playoffs as they are in the race along with CSK and RCB. A win in their last two games can also help SRH finish the league stages in the second position after Shreyas Iyer's Kolkata Knight Riders.

Hyderabad had accumulated one of the most expensive teams in IPL 2024 as they spent heavily to buy Pat Cummins and Travis Head. While Cummins arrived at a price of 20.75 crores, Head joined the Orange Army on a deal worth over 7 crores. The Australian World Cup winners have done well so far and they are expected to help them reach the play-offs after a few season's gap.

Hanuma Vihar targets Jio Cinema with a 3-word tweet

Hanuma Vihari took to X (formerly Twitter) yesterday to express his frustration to not seeing his former IPL franchise in Jio Cinema's play-off probably post. The right-hand batter, who played for the Orange army from 2013 to 2015, was all of us in figuring out why the digital broadcasters of IPL 2024 didn't put the image of Pat Cummins among the captains alive in the race for the top 4.

SRH is the team that has crossed the 200-run mark multiple times and have one of the most aggressive batting units, yet Jio Cinema felt they don't deserve a spot. Moreover, the Sunrisers are among the reasons why the TRP of IPL 2024 went extremely high as their players were responsible for causing carnage with their batting.

Be it Travis Head's hammering, Abhishek Sharma's sixes, or Heinrich Klaasen's combative batting, SRH has given a lot of viewership to Jio Cinema. Not only them but official TV broadcasters Star Sports have also benefitted from the Orange Army's performances this season.

In the context of the Sunrisers not showing up in the Jio Cinema post, Hanuma Vihari claimed that they made SRH feel like WWE superstar John Cena.

As we all know, John Cena is one of the biggest names in the entertainment Wresting circuit whose famous tagline is - "You can't see me". This particular tagline has also been a massive meme material on social media and Hanuma Vihari referenced that in his tweet.

To give some more context, Hanuma Vihari reposted a Jio Cinema post wherein Sanju Samson can be seen walking into the playoffs after last night's result. Behind Sanju were Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni, whose teams are also in the race for the top 4. The post didn't include Sunrisers Hyderabad, almost as if they have no chance. But in reality, they are the closest to reaching the playoffs.

On that regard of Jio Cinema keeping SRH out of the post on X, Hanuma Vihari wrote - "SRH = JOHN CENA", which depicts - "You can't see SRH in the top 4 race"

How did the fans react to it?

Fans have given mixed reactions to Hanuma Vihari's hilarious tweet. While one fan wrote, "Everyone is writing off SRH. Pat should shut their mouths by winning trophy".

Another fan targeted Jio Cinema for ignoring SRH in the post and for highlighting CSK and RCB to generate massive viewership. "JioCinema hindi constantly ignoring SRH, who is at the top in the race just because they want RCB vs CSK clash for the viewership." But there was one fan who understood Vihari's sarcasm and wrote, "Relax bois hanuman anna with us".
