Sunrisers Hyderabad

SRH have a chance to finish in the top two if they win this match and RR loses their last. SRH after their 10-wicket victory against LSG managed to win their previous game against GT as well.

After winning five out of their first seven games, Hyderabad lost their way a bit. However, their massive win against LSG brought them back into contention.

Sunrisers Hyderabad playing their final three games at home gives them a great opportunity to finish in the top two. Their batters and bowlers have both been in good form heading into this game.

SRH Squad

Pat Cummins (c), Abdul Samad, Abhishek Sharma, Aiden Markram, Marco Jansen, Rahul Tripathi, Washington Sundar, Glenn Phillips, Sanvir Singh, Heinrich Klaasen, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mayank Agarwal, T. Punjab Kings

PBKS are already eliminated from the tournament. They endured another disappointing season where they made to reach the playoffs.

Losing Shikhar Dhawan due to injury did not help their cause. Sam Curran who lead the team in the last 10 matches almost will now return back for national commitments ahead of the T20 World CupThis might just prompt Shikhar Dhawan to make a return to captaincy and lead the side in the last game.

PBKS Squad

Shikhar Dhawan (c), Matthew Short, Prabhsimran Singh, Jitesh Sharma, Sikandar Raza, Rishi Dhawan, Liam Livingstone, Atharva Taide, Arshdeep Singh, Nathan Ellis, Sam Curran, Kagiso Rabada, Harpreet Brar, Rahul Chahar, Harpreet Bhatia, Vidwath Kaverappa, Shivam Singh, Harshal Patel, Chris Woakes, Ashutosh Sharma, Vishwanath Pratap Singh, Shashank Singh, Tanay Thyagarajann, Prince Choudhary, Rilee Rossouw

SRH vs PBKS Key Battles

Travis Head vs Arshdeep Singh

Arshdeep with his ability to swing the ball early will look to take the wicket of Travis Head which will be a big blow to SRH if it happens. As said earlier, SRH is aiming for a top-two finish. Arshdeep dismissed Head in the first game.

Abhishek Sharma vs Kagiso Rabada

Abhishek Sharma will have to encounter the experienced Kagiso Rabada in the match. With his intensity to score as many as possible within the powerplay, Rabada's pace might pose problems against him.

Heinrich Klaasen vs Rahul Chahar / Harpreet Brar

The South African has been dismissive against the spinners so far in this IPL season hitting over 30 sixes in the season so far. He has a chance to add to the tally when he bats against PBKS. The spinners will have their chance to dismiss him as well.

Shikhar Dhawan vs Pat Cummins

Dhawan is expected to lead PBKS in this match. He is the most experienced batter in this lineup. He will have to weather the storm of Pat Cummins and Bhuvneshwar Kumar early on.

SRH vs PBKS Key Players

For SRH, Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma, and Klaasen hold the key with the bat. With the ball, Bhuvi, Cummins, and Natarajan will be key.

For PBKS, Dhawan, Prabhssimran, Shashank, and Ashutosh will be key with the side likely to miss their overseas players from England. With the ball, Arshdeep, Harshal Patel, Rabada, and the spin twins will be key.

SRH vs PBKS Weather and Pitch Report

The Hyderabad pitch has been a high-scoring pitch this season so far. SRH posted scores of 277 and 201, RCB posted over 200 runs and won a match against SRH. Thus the track has been a batting-friendly one and we can expect another high-scoring contest.

Talking about the weather, the match starts at 3.30 pm IST with temperatures around 37-40 degrees. The weather drops down to around 29 degrees in the evening, There is less than a 5 percent chance of rain which is expected to subside.

A win for SRH in this match will give them a chance to finish in the top two provided RR loses one of their last two games. PBKS are already eliminated from the tournament and thus this is an inconsequential game for them.
