Sri Lanka Playing 11 vs Bangladesh – Super 4 Match 2, Asia Cup 2023. Sri Lanka take on Bangladesh in the second Super 4 game of Asia Cup 2023 in Colombo on Saturday, July 9. The match starts from 3 pm IST and is the first match for the Lankans in the Super 4s. They won their previous match against Afghanistan by just two runs.

Sri Lanka’s win against Afghanistan was a narrow escape for the co-hosts of Asia Cup 2023. In the absence of key bowlers like Wanindu Hasaranga, Dusmantha Chameera, Lahiru Kumara and Dilshan Madushanka, the Lankans were tested against Afghanistan.

However, their batters had a good outing with the bat led by Kusal Mendis who scored a brilliant 92. Openers Pathum Nissanka and Dimuth Karunaratne also got starts and their middle-order also got runs.

The ACC after deciding to shift the Super 4 matches to Hambantota made a U-turn on their decision by keeping Colombo as the hosts of the remaining games of the tournament including the final. All the remaining matches in Colombo is under rain threat.
