Sri Lanka Vs India 2021: Shaw, Hardik Smash Sixes While Kuldeep-Chahal Bag Wickets During The 2nd Intra-Squad Match

Ahead of the upcoming ODI and T20I series against Sri Lanka, Team India cricketers seem to be getting in their groove with some quality game time in the intra-squad match-ups.

As has been the norm in these crazy covid times, no practice matches have been scheduled before the white ball fixtures and the Indian players are playing among themselves in intra-squad games to get a much-needed practice given the fact that they haven’t played competitive cricket since the IPL got halted back in May due to the pandemic.

In a video shared by SLC on their official YouTube channel, one can see the likes of Shaw, Pandya, Dhawan smoke the bowling to all corners of the ground.

The video also shows the bowlers capturing wickets. While Kuldeep Yadav claimed three wickets, his partner Yuzvendra Chahal and seamer Navdeep Saini bagging two each. While Saini claimed the wickets of Hardik Pandya and Devdutt Padikkal, Chetan Sakariya dismissed captain Shikhar Dhawan.

The Indian tour of Sri Lanka will get underway with a three-match ODI series in Colombo from July 13 and it will be followed by a T20I rubber where the young players will be looking to further their case for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
