Subhadeep Ghosh Named Fielding Coach, Amogh Pandit Appointed Trainer Ahead Of India Women Tour Of Australia

India Women are set to tour Australia next month and the management has made two changes in the support staff. While former Assam cricketer Subhadeep Ghosh was appointed as the fielding coach, Amogh Pandit will be joining the team as the fitness trainer.

The series includes three ODI’s and three T20I’s, along with a historic one-off Day-Night Test. The squads for the same were announced, along with major changes in personnel on the management side. This was confirmed by a source while speaking to ANI.

Subhadeep will be the fielding coach while Amogh is going as the trainer. For now, it is for the Australia tour and a call on long-term appointment will be taken at the right time,” the source was quoted as saying.

Mithali Raj to lead India Women in the one-off Test match

Experienced campaigner Mithali Raj was named as the captain going into the solitary Test match against Australia. The Day-Night Test will be played at the WACA in Perth, from September 30 to October 3.

Mithali will also lead the side in the ODI’s while Harmanpreet Kaur takes the mantle in the game’s shortest format. There weren’t any surprises in the squads, apart from a return for Rajeshwari Gayakwad. Sneh Rana, who had a terrific outing in England, will don the jersey in all the formats.
