Former Pakistan batsman Salman Butt mentioned that India will now face a good selection headache with all the players showing good form signs in the warm-up games. India has played two warm-up games so far against England and Australia, and in both games, the side has managed to put up some comprehensive performances.

India has ticked almost all of the boxes now, and their plans are also clear for the first few games. The dilemma of the sixth bowler in the playing XI with Hardik Pandya, not bowling seems to be sorted at the moment as Virat Kohli bowled two good overs against Australia. Hardik will come into play with the bat as the tournament progresses, and at the moment, India will be one of the happier sides.

Salman Butt Highlights The Selection Headache India Might Have

Salman Butt noted India’s good form with Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav being among the runs again, while Rishabh Pant finished off the game in the warm-up fixture against England. He added that Rohit and KL Rahul have contributed immensely at the top, while Hardik Pandya has stayed unbeaten in both games.

“Now a good headache will start for India. Ishan Kishan is in form, Suryakumar Yadav is in form, Rishabh Pant finished the last match and Hardik Pandya has also been sent to finish matches and he has stayed unbeaten. Today, Rohit Sharma played and hit 60 off 41 and KL Rahul again played a beautiful knock of 39. So The whole team is in form,” Salman Butt told on his Youtube channel.

Sometimes Rest Helps You Regain Form – Salman Butt

Salman Butt was quite confident that Virat Kohli will regain form soon and will step up for the side when they need him the most. He added that the break in the game against Australia was much needed for Virat Kohli and reckoned that he will be fresh to go in the remaining games.

“Virat Kohli is a big match player, he has scored runs all over the world. He is not in the best of form right now, but today he rested himself. Sometimes rest helps you regain form. When you take a break and come back fresh, you respond better going into a big match. So we will see that in the tournament. When the main matches come, these are big players. They say when the going gets tough, the tough get going,” he added.
