Former Australian spinner Shane Warne reckoned that Australia can win the T20 World cup 2021 considering their batting order is sorted and their recent form clicking. Surprisingly, Australia did not come into the ICC T20 World cup 2021 with the favorites tag or did not feature in any experts’ Semifinal picks, however, they stuck to their strengths.

They won four of their five games, and with an excellent net run rate, they went ahead of South Africa into the semi-finals. Their only has been against England, and with David Warner starting to regain his old form, Australia can still emerge as the winners. They haven’t won a T20 World cup yet, and this will be the right time to break the jinx.

“I Wouldn’t Have Had Smith In My Starting XI” – Shane Warne

Shane Warne noted that Australia can lift the trophy as everything has been clicking for Australia at the right time and reckoned that Smith’s role in the side has been wiser. He was mightily impressed with Australia’s tactics so far and has high hopes for them.

“Now that the Aussies have their batting order right & finding form. They can win the WC. I wouldn’t have had Smith in my starting X1. But his role as Mr fix it is spot on. Lose early wkts he goes in & if they don’t he slides down & the beasts (Marsh, Stoinis, Maxwell) go in,” Shane Warne on Twitter.

Australia To Play Pakistan In Semi-Final 2

Australia finished second in group 1 of the Super 12 Stages, and they will now be playing Pakistan, who topped group 2 of the Super 12 stages. Australia and Pakistan have played 6 games so far in T20 World cup fixtures, and both teams so far have shared the wins. This will be a huge achievement for Australia if they can get past Pakistan, which has been the only unbeaten side in the tournament so far.
