Former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag felt that Hasan Ali deserves to be supported despite his drop catch costing the Pakistan side a place in the finals of the T20 World cup 2021. Hasan Ali who hasn’t had the best of times recently did manage to worsen it with a dropped catch in the semi-finals against Australia.
Hasan Ali has blown hot and cold in the T20 World cup 2021 and he proved to be ineffective on the day going for 44 runs in his 4 overs spell without picking up a wicket. In the 19th over of the game when Australia where running away with the game, Pakistan had a chance to make a comeback with Hasan Ali’s catch which was dropped and Wade hit three sixes after that to add salt to the wounds.

“I Think Their Anger Is Justified” – Virender Sehwag
Virender Sehwag noted that it is very common for the fans to blame Hasan Ali for Pakistan’s loss and reckoned it might be true in a way that Hasan Ali’s performance looked shabby. He added that however, Pakistan fans had to support Hasan Ali as they had supported him earlier when Pakistan did well.
“Anyone who loses usually reacts in such a manner. So, the entire Pakistan would be blaming Hasan Ali for their loss. After he dropped the catch, Wade hit three sixes in three balls and finished the match.
“I think their anger is justified but it’s the same Pakistan team they supported and so when they lose they should still be supported,” Virender Sehwag answered a fan’s question on Facebook.
