T20 World Cup 2021: "What Have They Got To Say About This"- Gautam Gambhir Questions Shane Warne's Silence Over Warner Incident

Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir has always been vocal about his comments, and he questioned Shane Warne on David Warner’s unsportsmanlike act against Pakistan. David Warner hit a six off Mohammad Hafeez’s delivery that pitched twice into the ground, and it had slipped out of the Pakistan veteran.
Gambhir wasn’t impressed by the incident, and he immediately questioned Shane Warne and Ricky Ponting for being silent over the spirit of the game. Both the cricketers had tweeted against R Ashwin’s Mankad incident to be a disgraceful act in the IPL 2019, and Gambhir had found the best time to hit back at the Aussies.

“It’s Easy To Criticise Someone” – Gautam Gambhir On Warne
Gautam Gambhir noted that Shane Warne and Ricky Ponting have been commenting and tweeting on every kind of sportsmanship and questioned their silence behind Warner’s act in the semi-finals. He mentioned it has always been easy to comment on other cricketers referring to the criticism on Ashwin for Mankad’s incident and found it hard to take on his own players.
“Shane Warne comments and tweets on everything. Even Ricky Ponting makes big, big claims about the spirit of the game. What have they got to say about this?”
“When Ashwin does Mankad, they come up with big comments. Today, what has Shane Warne got to say about David Warner? Because it’s easy to criticise someone but extremely difficult to criticise your own players,” Gautam Gambhir told on the post-match show of Pakistan vs New Zealand game.

Gautam Gambhir Terms Warner’s Incident As Pathetic Display Of Spirit
Gautam Gambhir tweeted on Twitter, stating that the six hit by Warner was a pathetic display of the spirit of the game. He also recommended Ashwin’s opinion on the incident as the off-spinner was targeted during the Mankad incident during IPL 2019.
What an absolutely pathetic display of the spirit of the game by Warner! #Shameful What say @ashwinravi99?”, Gambhir Tweeted
Australia went on to win the game in the end after a terrific partnership between Marcus Stoinis and Matthew Wade in the end.
