Indian captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid are unhappy with the ICC for providing them with minimal training facilities.

The Indian team is currently practicing in New York City for what is going to be their first T20 game since January 17. Rohit Sharma and co. had played their last T20I during a mouthwatering clash against Afghanistan.

The players are coming off a long IPL season with some players including Rohit Sharma arriving there after a 5-match Test series. Rohit would then finish at the bottom with MI in what was his first season not as captain since 2013.

He now has the onus to bring the glory days back to India with a 2nd T20 World Cup title for the nation. The fans are sticking to the words of BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, whose belief is that Rohit Sharma will hoist the Tri-colour in Barbados on June 29th.

Players unhappy with Food accommodation and overall makeshift facility

But just at the start of their initial practice sessions, the Indians met with disappointment. Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid were reportedly upset with the training facilities provided by ICC and USA Cricket.

Dravid and Rohit both labeled the facilities as "Average". As we all know India are a powerhouse of Cricket. From training facilities to a complete infrastructure, the BCCI gets everything covered. But with the USA hosting such big countries for the first time, they were bound to face some troubles.

It is not disclosed what exactly Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid were unhappy about but it is assured that Cantiague Park will not receive 5 stars.

A trusted source even claimed that the Indian players didn't like the makeshift nature of Cricket in the USA. Rohit Sharma, after consultation with his head coach, has raised the team's concerns.

"Everything is makeshift – from pitches to other facilities. Safe to say everything is very average in nature. The team has raised their concerns." - a source said.

Another shocker revealed by the same source is that the players, after getting frustrated with the training facilities, were then left disgruntled with the food provided. India's start to life in the United States hasn't really started well as they are facing challenges with their food and their preparation for the World Cup.

But when the same was asked of the ICC, the Apex board declined to come across any complaints.

India practice in drop-in pitches

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma among others had their first net session in three of the six drop-in pitches arranged for the T20 WC.

Another big news that arrived last night was the departure of Virat Kohli from India for New York. He is a much-awaited figure in the Indian team as he will join the team for the first time since January.

While Kohli looks set to miss the only warm-up against Bangladesh tomorrow, he is certain to play India's World Cup opener against Ireland on June 5th.

India's second match is against Pakistan on June 9th at the Nassau Cricket Stadium in New York. Clashes against the USA in NY and Canada in Florida will conclude India's group games.
