Pakistan’s narrow three-run win over England in the fourth game in Karachi on Sunday helped India extend their lead. The series is still tied by winning two games each, with plenty of ranking points in the last three games in Lahore.

The upcoming three-match series against South Africa will provide India with an opportunity to play with their best XI ahead of the T20 World Cup in Australia in 2022.

The Proteas are third in the team rankings with 258 points, but they could stake a claim in the upcoming series, which begins on Wednesday in Thiruvananthapuram.

Pakistan is currently tied for third place in the team standings with South Africa, with 258 points, but could move up to second if they win their remaining three matches against England. England, on the other hand, will keep second place in the rankings if they win one of those games.

New Zealand remains fifth in the T20I team standings with 252 points as Kane Williamson’s side will play Pakistan and Bangladesh in a tri-series at home before starting their campaign in the T20 World Cup.
