South Africa team, led by Temba Bavuma has arrived in India for the limited overs series tour. The Proteas will play a three-match T20 series and a three-match ODI series during this tour. 

The tour will begin with a three-match T20 series and the first match will be played in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday, September 28. The T20I series is important for both the teams to figure out their best playing XI ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup next month.

The South African team reached Thiruvananthapuram on Sunday and will reportedly have their first series training session on Monday at 5 pm. 

Twenty20 Internationals will be played in Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati and Indore and three ODIs are scheduled to be played in Lucknow, Ranchi and Delhi.

Aggressive left-handed batsman, David Miller shared that the SA team is on their way to India on his Instagram. On his Instagram story, the 33-year-old shared an image of himself. Miller wrote: “Its been whirlwind last four days. But back on big bird (Airplane). India bound.”

India will have a two-day break after defeating the world champions in a thrilling 2-1 series win in Hyderabad on Sunday. Australia scored a challenging 186/7 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium. Cameron Green and Tim David hit half-centuries for the Aussies. Suryakumar Yadav and Virat Kohli shared a century stand for the third wicket to put India in control. The hosts chased down the target in 19.5 overs with six wickets remaining.

After the South Africa series, India will head to Australia for the 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup, which begins on October 16.
