Fans on Twitter reacted after India advanced into the final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024. They defeated defending champions England by 68 runs in the semi-final 2 of the tournament, which took place at the Providence Stadium in Guayana.

Asked to bat, India didn’t have a great start to their innings. The poor run with the bat continued for Virat Kohli as he perished for nine runs. Soon after his wicket, Rishabh Pant fell as well and the Men in Blue was reduced to 40 for two.

However, after that captain Rohit Sharma (57) stepped up for his team under tough circumstances. Suryakumar Yadav (47) supported him well as the duo shared 73 runs for the third wicket.

England made a slight comeback as they picked wickets quickly. But finish by Hardik Pandya (23), Ravindra Jadeja (17*) powered India to a total of 171/7. For the defending champions, Chris Jordan picked three wickets while the rest of the bowlers apart from Liam Livingstone picked one wicket each.

England started pretty well in the chase as skipper Jos Buttler (23) played attacking shots. But the introduction of the spinners changed the fortunes of the defending champions as they were put on the backfoot within a short span of time.

Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav combined to wreak havoc across the English batting lineup. Both then spinners picked three wickets each and made the batters look clueless as India bundled out the opposition for 103 runs inside 17 overs to win the game by 68 and reach the final of the tournament.
