Pacers Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam have been administered out of the first Test against Sri Lanka, set to start on May 15, because of their particular wounds. Taskin is, actually, liable to miss the whole series.
BCB cricket operations chairman Jalal Yunus affirmed the advancement to Cricbuzz and added that they believe the pace duo should get back to full fitness given the tight international schedule lined up.
Taskin Ahmed And Shoriful Islam To Go Abroad For Further Treatment
Prior, Shoriful had missed the two-match Test series against South Africa because of a lower leg injury and despite the fact that he recuperated from it, BCB is wanting to send him to another country to have an operation as he is having stomach issues.

Taskin harmed his right shoulder during the initial Test against South Africa and was precluded from the accompanying Test and is currently going through conservative treatment for the supraspinatus ligament injury.
“Taskin is unlikely to play against Sri Lanka while Shoriful is likely to miss the opening Test against the Lankans at home,” Jalal told Cricbuzz on Sunday.
“Taskin is having a shoulder injury and is now going through conservative treatment but we want to send him to England to assess his status and take necessary steps so that when he returns, he is fully fit.
“Shoriful also needs to go abroad for another treatment, and for that, we are unlikely to get him in the opening Test against Sri Lanka.
“We want them to sort out all their physical issues and return fully fit as we have lot of international cricket ahead,” he said.
Taskin Ahmed To Get Compensated For Not Playing In IPL
Jalal added that BCB is considering compensating Taskin for not playing in the IPL however he did not want to disclose the sum.

Bangladesh’s former skipper Mashrafe Mortaza asked BCB to remunerate Taskin Ahmed for missing the IPL to make him accessible in the Test series against South Africa.
“We will try to compensate him financially (for skipping IPL to play for the national team) and we have kept that in our mind but you must consider that even he said that the series was more important than IPL. So money is not the major issue but surely we are thinking how we can compensate him,” he said.
Bangladesh likely to tour Australia for two Tests in 2027

BCB cricket operation chairman Jalal Yunus said that they are probably going to visit Australia for a two-match Test series in 2027. It will be Bangladesh’s first bilateral tour to the country starting around 2008 and the first test in Australia since 2003.
Both the boards consented to the series during the ICC meeting and are presently dealing with a reasonable date.
“We are confident to play two Tests in Australia in 2027,” said Jalal. “We are also trying to see if we can tour England though nothing is finalized as yet.”
Cricbuzz comprehends that during the new FTP cycle from 2023 to 2027, Bangladesh are supposed to play 42 Tests alongside 76 ODIs and 70 T20s.
