Bartlett bowled a slower back-of-length delivery to the Indian skipper first up, who looked in every mood to smack it out of the park, having already done that to a few deliveries in the innings. Suryakumar swung hard and hit the ball towards mid-wicket with the ball angling across.

Tim David ran to his left and hung on to the ball at the boundary after it almost popped out of his fist, but thanks to his long fingers, which helped him to cling on. The Indian captain departed after another useful cameo of 20 off just 10 balls.

But what looked awful during this was Tim David celebrating the wicket with an obscene act where he gestured to licking the ball in front of the crowd. This celebration made no sense, as it appeared disgusting on the screen.

Adam Zampa and Nathan Ellis picked 3-wicket hauls each

Adam Zampa made his much-awaited return to the shortest format of the game for Australia. He was hit for 45 runs during his 4-over spell and was smacked for several sixes by Shivam Dube and Suryakumar Yadav.

However, he struck thrice in the innings for the wickets of Abhishek Sharma, Tilak Varma, and Jitesh Sharma; two of the wickets came in the last over of the game. While Nathan Ellis also picked 3 wickets on another occasion.

This marked the third game for Nathan Ellis, in which he picked a three-wicket haul. Ellis cleaned up Shubman Gill, Shivam Dube and lastly dismissed Washington Sundar in the game as well. He is currently the highest wicket-taker in the series with 9 wickets.

Tim David's rivalry with Varun Chakravarthy will be an interesting contest at the Gold Coast

Tim David has been Australia's most influential batter in the shortest format of the game, alongside the skipper Mitchell Marsh, who averages over 60 in the format. David has been a special performer this year since the West Indies tour.

David played a stunning 70+ innings at the Hobart ground, where he dominated Indian spinner Varun Chakravarthy with some stunning hits. Previously, Chakravarthy dismissed Tim David in the second T20I at the MCG. The contest will continue in the fourth Test at the Gold Coast ground in Australia.
