The Pakistan National Cricket Team has suffered yet another embarrassment as the New Zealand National Cricket Team crushed the tourists by eight wickets to clinch the five-match T20I series 4-1 at home. Tim Seifert starred with the bat as the Kiwis chased down a paltry target of 129 runs in just 10 overs to win the fifth and final T20I to lift the trophy in Wellington.

Pakistan changed their captain and even made several changes in the squad, but their fate remained the same. Salman Ali Agha’s captaincy couldn’t even make any big impact, as the Men in Green managed to win a single match against the Black Caps in the five-match T20I series.

Following the humiliating ICC Champions Trophy 2025 campaign, there were hopes of redemption from the Pakistan side, but they ended up facing yet another series loss, leaving fans and cricket experts disappointed. They have now been slamming the Pakistan team management and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) after the T20I series loss to the Black Caps.

Here's how fans react to Pakistan's T20I series loss to New Zealand:

New Zealand vs Pakistan 5th T20I Match Highlight

Speaking about the match, New Zealand won the toss and opted to bowl first in Wellington in the final T20I of the series. The hosts made just one change, bringing in Ben Sears in place of Zakary Foulkes.

On the other hand, Pakistan made several changes to their playing XI. Usman Khan and Omair bin Yousuf were included in the batting lineup, while Jahandad Khan, Sufiyan Muqeem, and Mohammad Ali strengthened the bowling attack. Irfan Khan, Khushdil Shah, Abbas Afridi, Shaheen Afridi, and Abrar Ahmed made the way for these stars in the XI for the final T20I match.

However, these changes didn’t turn out fruitful, as the Men in Green suffered a crushing defeat with the Kiwis humiliating them at their best to win the home series. Pakistan’s batting was the biggest flop, as only captain Salman Ali Agha (51) and vice-captain Shadab Khan (28) could survive the Black Caps bowling attack to help the side post 128/9 on the board in Wellington.

For the Kiwis, James Nishan finished with his maiden five-wicket haul while Jacob Duffy scalped two wickets against the Men in Green. Chasing the target, Tim Seifert’s whirlwind knock of 97 runs off 38 balls was enough for the Black Caps to secure the victory in the one-sided affair.

Tim Seifert smashed six boundaries and ten sixes during his match-winning knock while Finn Allen contributed 27 runs off 12 balls in the Kiwis win over the tourists in Wellington on Wednesday. Seifert won the Player of the Series award for amassing 249 runs in the T20I series against Pakistan.

Seifert said after the match: “There was only one way to play. I wanted to play the way I wanted to play. The wickets were bouncy. Tonight, a few shots got me away. You look at the matchups. Finn helped. We have played together. He is a great mate. It is great fun with him. A couple of weeks with the family and then off to the PSL. Few of these players would be my mates there.”
