Vijaykumar Vyshak in awe of Virat Kohli's training sessions

Vijaykumar Vyshak will play for Gulbarga Mystics in the upcoming Maharaja Trophy Karnataka State Cricket Association T20 tournament. He is the team's vice-captain and an experienced player having already played in IPL before.

While speaking ahead of the tournament, Vyshak spoke about training with Virat Kohli and mentioned that everything is done with great precision by the legendary India batter.

"Training with Virat Kohli can really impact you as a player. Last season, while I admired him, I paid attention to the finer details such as his work ethic, his process, and his consistency. Whether it is his eating habits or practice routine, everything is done with precision," Vyshak stated.

I try to have the same confidence as Virat Kohli, says Vijaykumar Vyshak

Vyshak was in awe of Kohli's confidence before every game and tried the same thing upon himself as well.

"It is admirable how confident he is before every game, and now I try to have the same confidence every time I step onto the field," he added.

Virat Kohli is known to be one of the fittest cricketers in the world. Even at 35, the legendary cricketer maintains high levels of fitness. His agility and top-level fitness inspire the younger generations to raise their game as well.

Being a senior player of the team, he can always be seen standing in hotspot fielding positions. In IPL 2024, Virat Kohli finished as the highest run-getter of the tournament with 741 runs in 15 matches at an average of 61.75 and a strike rate of 154.69. He struck 1 hundred and 5 fifties during this season.

Vijaykumar Vyshak thanks Mohammed Siraj

Vijaykumar Vyshak also thanked Mohammed Siraj for his support in the IPL. Siraj is a senior bowler in RCB and is one of the team's strike bowlers.

"In my first game for RCB, I did well, but then I conceded 60 runs in the next match. Siraj told me, 'This is the game, and this is the challenge at the highest level.' I am keen to keep this in mind and to pass on these lessons whenever I can," The 27-year-old Karnataka quick mentioned.

RCB started IPL 2024 poorly with just one win in the first eight matches. But they turned it around from there onwards by notching up six wins in a row to qualify for the playoffs. However, a defeat in the Eliminator to Rajasthan Royals ended their IPL 2024 campaign.
