UAE T20 League: Tom Moody Roped In By Glazers As Team Director, R Sridhar Roped In By Capri Global – Reports

The 56-year-old former Australia National Cricket Team player Tom Moody has been roped in by the Glazer family as team director for the upcoming UAE T20 League, as per a Cricbuzz report.
The UAE T20 League, which will be a 6-team tournament, is all set to commence next year and it will be a 34-match event as each team will be playing the others twice in the league, followed by four playoff matches.

The first edition of the tournament was originally scheduled to take place in January and February 2022, but it was rescheduled. The tournament will be called International League T20 and it will be played between January 6 to February 12 before the Pakistan Super League.
Meanwhile, Tom Moody, who is the head coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League and is part of coaching set-ups in England, the West Indies and Sri Lanka, has been given the role to put together the team and coaches.
R Sridhar Roped In By Capri Global
Former India fielding coach R Sridhar has been signed up by Capri Global as coaching director for the upcoming UAE T20 League and he will have a similar kind of responsibility as that of Moody.
Meanwhile, Adani Group is in talks for the coaching job with Andy Flower, who has held several coaching positions across different T20 leagues, including IPL, PSL and The Hundred.
Also, the remaining three teams – Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders, RIL’s Mumbai Indians and GMR’s Delhi Capitals – already have their cricket set-ups and have commenced building up teams through their existing staff, as per the same Cricbuzz report.
The Knight Riders will be the owners of the Abu Dhabi team in the tournament and the Capri team has been allocated Sharjah and Dubai will be GMR’s base. There has been no confirmation on the remaining 3 teams, as of now.
