Afghanistan Cricket Team’s all home matches have been shifted to UAE. The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) & Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) has signed a 5-year agreement. This agreement can change the face of Afghanistan Cricket as pitches are quite productive.

UAE has mentioned it clearly that Afghanistan has to play a 3 T20I match series every year with them. Afghanistan players will get ample match practice by playing against UAE.  Afghanistan will benefit by playing on quality tracks of Abu Dhabi, Sharjah & Dubai as we can expect some riveting contests.

The general secretary of UAE Mubashshir Usmani made interesting comments.

“Both the Emirates and Afghanistan Cricket Boards enjoy long, cordial relations, and we are happy to support the ACB in ensuring that they have a home for their cricket. We are also thankful to the Afghanistan Cricket Board for agreeing to play T20 internationals against UAE Team each year. This will provide our UAE team with invaluable exposure and help in their development,” said Mubashshir Usmani.

Great Chance For Afghanistan

The Afghanistan Cricket Team would be thrilled after hearing this news as now there would be no disturbances to their home matches as we all know playing bilateral matches in Afghanistan is not preferred.

Afghanistan is expected to be the next big thing in World Cricket as they have got world-class players present in the form of Rashid Khan, Mujeeb, Nabi, Najibullah Zadran

UAE on the other side would benefit a lot from this agreement as they will get invaluable experience by playing against them.

Recently, Afghanistan defeated Sri Lanka in the 1st ODI in their own backyard and made a statement that they are not here to just participate where the entire World Cricket was in a state of shock. The team would massively benefit from playing in the UAE.
