England won the third Test by 10 wickets to clean-sweep West Indies in the Test series and gain crucial points from the win. They needed 87 runs to win the third Test match and they got to the target in just 7.2 overs.

Interestingly, Ben Stokes made a bold statement as he walked out to bat as an opener and scored 57 off 28 balls with nine fours and two sixes. He scored the quickest Test fifty for England and the third-quickest overall in Test cricket to end with a comfortable win for his side. Ben Duckett was unbeaten on 25 off 16 balls at the other end.

West Indies opted to bat first after winning the toss. They scored 282 in the first innings with some lower-order resistance from Jason Holder (59) and Joshua De Silva (49) after the skipper Kraigg Brathwaite scored 61 at the top.

Gus Atkinson took four wickets in the first innings and Chris Woakes took three. Mark Wood took two wickets as West Indies batters struggled against his pace.

England in response to West Indies' first innings total responded by putting up 376. They were 54/5 at one stage with the top-order dismissed cheaply. That was when Ben Stokes (54) added a 115-run stand with Joe Root (87). That was the start of the repair job for England with keeper Jamie Smith scoring a brilliant 95. Chris Woakes (62) and Gust Atkinson (21) also came up with crucial contributions.

England Complete 3-0 Win Against West Indies

West Indies in their second innings were bowled out for 175. Skipper Kraigg Brathwaite was out for a duck this time around. Opener Mikyle Louis (57) and Kavem Hodge (55) tried to show some resistance but the England bowlers chipped away with wickets consistently. Mark Wood took five wickets in the second innings and Gus Atkinson took two. Chris Woakes, Shoaib Bashir, and Gus Atkinson took one each.

England with this third Test win have got themselves up to 57 points on the table from 13 Test matches. They are still placed sixth on the table and have a PCT of 36.54.

India are topping the points table with 74 points and a PCT of 68.51. Australia are placed second with 90 points but are less on PCT than India with 62.5. New Zealand with three wins and three losses have a PCT of 50 as does Sri Lanka.

South Africa, Bangladesh, and West Indies are the bottom three teams. The series win meanwhile has boosted England's PCT by a long way. They were the bottom-ranked team before the start of the series and now have moved up to the sixth position. England lost 4-1 to India heading into this series.

Mark Wood took seven wickets in the match. Gus Atkinson was the Player Of The Series with 16 wickets in the series. However, the highlight of the match was Ben Stokes breezing half-century in the paltry chase of 87.
