USA and West Indies go head to head in the T20 World Cup 2024 in Barbados in one of the Super games. The match will be played on Saturday from 6 am IST. The two teams have played just one ODI but are yet to meet each other in T20Is.

The USA reached the Super 8s by beating Pakistan and Canada and managing to secure a better NRR than Pakistan. In the first game of the Super 8, they lost to South Africa by 18 runs as they failed to chase 195. They managed to get to 176/6 in their 20 overs. They now face a stiffer test against the West Indies.

The Windies lost to England even after scoring 180 with the bat. Combined efforts from the batters took them to that score. However, Phil Salt's counter-attacking innings of 87 from 47 balls took the stint out of the WIndefence as England won the match by 8 wickets and with over two overs to spare.

Now facing a little inexperienced USA team, West Indies will look for a dominating performance. Not all of the USA players have played in this part of the world before other than Ali Khan who played for Trinbago Knight Riders in the CPL. It will be interesting to see how the USA counters this challenge.

West Indies playing at home and knowing the ground conditions in Barbados will mean a lot for the team. They lost their previous Super 8 hame in St Lucia and will be eager for a big win against the USA.

The newbies lost their first Super 8 game to South Africa which was their first loss in the campaign. They beat Canada and Pakistan to make it to the Super 8s and their match against Ireland was abandoned. Chasing 195 they were restricted to 176 in their first Super 8 match. Against West Indies, who can be vulnerable at times, they do have an opportunity for an upset.
