A lofted stroke by the SRH batter Ishan Kishan guided the ball over the cover region. The RR fielder clutched his right thigh in pain while he was sprinting to stop the ball. Because of the pain, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi immediately lay on his back on the ground.
Teammates instantly came to check the young player, physio rushed into the spot as well. The temperature at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur was on the higher side and humid, making the situation difficult for the players. In the first innings, Vaibhav spent a significant amount of time on the crease, then, for the second innings, he walked in for fielding.
Was it a hamstring injury?
It was feared that the RR player might have suffered a hamstring injury. But it could be a severe muscle cramp as well. After the match, Rajasthan Royals RR batting coach Vikram Rathour informed about the condition of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. He said that the condition did not look serious enough to be worried about. Though they will have to wait for a day to know in detail.
