Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is celebrated as one of the all-time greatest players in history. The Master Blaster is hailed as the epitome of batting excellence, and he has left an indelible mark on the game with his extraordinary batting.

With an illustrious career spanning over two decades, Tendulkar made a plethora of records with his impeccable batting technique and beautiful strokeplay. His impact and legacy are beyond the field, inspiring generations of cricketers across the globe.

As Tendulkar celebrates his 50th birthday on April 24, former Indian cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu, on this occasion, named a player who reminds him of the former Indian skipper, and he is not Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, or MS Dhoni.

Navjot Singh Sidhu revealed that he sees glimpses of Tendulkar's greatness in Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain and Indian batter Ruturaj Gaikwad. The famous commentator said that Gaikwad will be a big player in the future, and the way he plays his shots reminds him of the Master Blaster.

Gaikwad is currently in superb form with the bat in the ongoing IPL 2024, and he extended it by smashing a brilliant 108 runs against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) at Chepauk on April 23. Gaikwad made history as he became the first CSK captain to score a century in the IPL.

His outstanding performance propelled him to second place with 349 runs in 8 games on the list of highest run-scorers in the ongoing IPL 2024. Gaikwad is now only behind Virat Kohli’s tally of 379 runs in 8 games in the tournament so far.

Impressing by the CSK skipper’s knock in Chepauk, Sidhu showered rich praise on Gaikwad as the commentator compared him to the legendary batter Tendulkar. He also backed Gaikwad to become a big name in Indian cricket history in the future.

According to CricToday, Navjot Singh Sidhu said on Star Sports: “The way Ruturaj Gaikwad plays and hits shots reminds me of Sachin Tendulkar. He is a special talent, who will become a big name in the near future.”
