The Indian fans have, anyway, been bothered by the tension between former Indian captain Virat Kohli and Indian head coach Gautam Gambhir in the Indian dressing room. Now, the difference has almost made it to the public, as Kohli was seen shaking hands with different body language with Gautam Gambhir as compared to his other teammates.

During the first ODI, Virat Kohli was seen giving a cold shoulder to the head coach Gautam Gambhir after India's win in the first ODI at Ranchi. He was then spotted looking at his own and ignoring the head coach as he went past him in the dressing room.

On Tuesday afternoon, selector Pragyan Ojha was seen in an intense conversation with Virat Kohli at the Ranchi airport. NDTV had then claimed that he might have been the mediator sent by the BCCI to resolve the issue between the veteran cricketer and the coach.

Virat Kohli shows indifference while shaking hands with coach Gambhir

The disagreement between the seniormost players in the Indian dressing room and the Indian head coach has now been evident. The reports suggested a feud between the head coach and Virat Kohli, who have been on opposite ends throughout their playing careers in the IPL.

This was confirmed when Virat Kohli had a significant change in body language following India's thumping win in Visakhapatnam. Having scored another unbeaten half-century, he walked off the field in all smiles alongside centurion Yashasvi Jaiswal.

He warmly celebrated the win with his teammates as he hugged them with dap-ups and handshakes. However, when it came to Gautam Gambhir, Kohli's body language changed significantly. His handshake looked very formal, and he quickly moved on, which led to further suspicion regarding the truth of the situation between the two.

The Player of the Series looked cheerful throughout the game at Visakhapatnam

However, Virat has unleashed a new side of himself in the batting department, but continues to be the same engaging and fun-loving character on the field. He has looked very determined on the field and often engaged the crowd with his cheerful antics.

Virat was also named the player of the series following his magnificent run in the series. He played three games and finished with 300+ runs in the series, alongside two hundreds and a fifty, with an average of over 150.

Virat Kohli would next be seen in the Vijay-Hazare Trophy

It is worth mentioning that both the Indian legends were seen playing in the Ranji Trophy last year before India was off to the Border-Gavaskar Trophy; however, they later announced their retirement from the format.

Now, the two Indian greats who are in exceptional form and have amassed 300+ runs for India individually since their return have also been advised to make themselves available for the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Kohli and Rohit have also reportedly agreed to play the domestic tournament.

Virat Kohli is most likely to make a much-anticipated return to the Vijay Hazare Trophy for the first time since 2010, when he last represented Delhi in the domestic competition. Kohli has already conveyed his availability to the DDCA.
