RCB youngster Swastik Chikara is currently playing in the UP T20 League and, in an exclusive interview, has opened up on his relationship with veteran cricketer Virat Kohli and how he obliged Kohli during RCB's IPL 2025 campaign.

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru might have won their maiden title in IPL 2025; however, they have been one of the most desired sides to play for for any young Indian cricketer. The major reason is playing under the shadow of the legendary Virat Kohli.

Swastik Chikara, another such disciple of the Indian veteran, has confessed openly about the guidance he has received from Virat and the uncanny things he used to do just to keep the legendary cricketer happy.

Swastik Chikara opens up on being Virat Kohli's extra pair of eyes in the RCB lineup

Swastik Chikara, a young UP lad, was picked by the Royal Challengers Bengaluru for the Indian Premier League last season. He is currently featured in the UPT20 League, and from the sidelines of the tournament, he has opened up on his time with RCB.

In an exclusive interview session with RevSportz's Rohit Juglan, the UP star claimed that he received words of wisdom from Virat Kohli during his stint. The youngster reached out to the veteran for advice on what he should do since he is not getting an opportunity to play.

Kohli had advised him to "Focus only on the game. Playing and practicing cricket is what you could do. Do not worry about featuring in the XI; When the time comes, you will get your deserved chance."

Chikara next said that he used to roam around the ground during matches since Kohli had asked him to observe every player and report to him on who does what in a great way, and also shed light on the slight blunders, alongside his own tactics to improve them.

Virat Kohli's increasing reputation as a 'god' figure in the RCB lineup

Recently, Mo Bobat, the RCB director, has opened up on Virat Kohli's immense role in identifying talent in the youngsters, and it is due to his backing that the management can make several decisions easily, relying on his abilities.

A few days ago, Vipraj Nigam, the Delhi batter, had openly admitted to being delighted to even bowl at the great batter. He also turned a bit shameless to express his happiness even after being hit for a straight six by Kohli.

Now, Swastik Chikara also expresses the same; this has made it clear that Kohli's stature in Indian cricket has been rising over the years, and he has moved from being an inspirational cricketer to a legendary icon for generations to come.

Kohli fans urge BCCI VP for a farewell match on veteran cricketer's retirement from International cricket

Recently, on the sidelines of the UPT20 league, several Indian cricket fans have urged Vice-President of the BCCI, Rajeev Shukla, to hand a proper farewell match to the veterans Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, just like Sachin Tendulkar was handed his due respect in 2013.

However, the Shukla said that there has been no confirmation on the two cricketers' retirement; hence, the fans should keep some patience, as there has been nothing to fasten the belts for preparing a farewell so soon for the veteran cricketers.
