"Virat Kohli is the only player every year to.."- Manoj Tiwary's bombshell on RCB's title hopes

Former Indian player Manoj Tiwary wants Virat Kohli to win his first IPL trophy in IPL 2025. Tiwary praised Kohli for his consistent performances in every IPL season.

Tiwary also stated that nobody deserves the IPL Trophy more than Kohli, and this season, Royal Challengers Bengaluru are looking like favorites to win the title, having already qualified for the playoffs.

Virat Kohli deserves one IPL trophy

Manoj Tiwary credited Virat Kohli for his exceptional run in IPL history. Kohli has been on the list of the orange cap contenders in every edition of the IPL.

Tiwary also highlighted that yesterday’s Gujarat Titans loss against Lucknow Super Giants increased the chances of RCB finishing in the top 2 positions.

“Virat Kohli se jada koi deserve nahi krta to be honest, RCB ke liye ek toh trophy bnna chaiye. Mere liye Shandar moment yeh hai GT hara hai toh RCB ka chance jada bann gya h aitop 2 me finish krne ka,” Manoj Tiwary stated on Cricbuzz.

Tiwary mentioned that if RCB wins IPL 2025, then the tribute will be given to Kohli for carrying the franchise in every season. In IPL 2025 Kohli is also the highest run-getter for RCB. Kohli has played three finals with RCB but hasn't been able to taste victory in any of them

“Agar franchise cricket me dekhke ek player hi hai hr saal hmesha rhta h kohli, 2016 ka season kaise bhool skte hai unka agr RCB jeetti hai toh tribute unko jana chaiye rcb agr iss season jeeti h toh tribute kohli ko jaega” Tiwary added.

Importance of finishing in the top 2 spots

Sunrisers Hyderabad is the only franchise that won the title after playing an Eliminator in the IPL playoffs; otherwise, in every season, the team that plays Qualifier 1 will have more chances to lift the IPL trophy.

Currently, all four teams are fighting for the top 2 spots in the tournament. RCB have a great chance of winning their last two matches, they will qualify for the Qualifier 1 automatically.

The teams finishing in the top 2 positions have won the IPL trophy since 2016, and finishing the league stage in the top 2 spots will be key for RCB to lift their maiden IPL title.

RCB’s remaining matches of IPL 2025

RCB are already qualified for the playoffs, but now the Bengaluru team will look to finish at the top of the table after the league stage.

Virat Kohli and co. will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants in their last two matches of the league stage.

RCB won eight matches out of 12 and is currently sitting in second position with 17 points.
