Virat Kohli mocks Rohit Sharma with hilarious 'soaked almonds' question via Gautam Gambhir

Virat Kohli is always known to be smart and witty with his way of talking. Not only on the playing field, Kohli is equally impressive outside the playing field as well. Recently, Kohli pulled India's captain Rohit Sharma's leg in a hilarious way that has caught everyone's attention.

In a surprise collaboration, Kohli was in a conversation with India's head coach Gautam Gambhir recently. The 20-minute-long video was uploaded by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on its website.

Virat Kohli pulls Rohit Sharma's leg in a hilarious manner

In the video uploaded by the BCCI, Virat Kohli requested Gautam Gambhir to ask one question to Rohit Sharma. Kohli's question to Rohit Sharma was if he eats soaked almonds in the morning or not.

"It's a very simple question to Rohit Sharma ki subah bheege badaam khate ho ki nahi (Do you eat soaked almonds in the morning)?" Kohli asked in the video.

Gambhir too didn't hold back and said, "Subah 11 baje ke jagah, raat ko 11 baje na aajaye. (So that he comes in at 11 am in the morning instead of 11 pm at night.)"

"I hope it doesn't change from AM to PM. So, this is the question for you Rohit," Kohli further said.

The question was a totally unexpected one and both the players burst into laughter. The legendary players shared many light moments with each other during the video and remembered the toughest moments of their respective careers.

The rivalry between Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli

Gambhir and Kohli were known to be bitter rivals of each other some years ago. Both have been involved in several altercations with each other in different seasons of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

However, over time, both have developed a sense of respect for each other. Currently, both share the same dressing room as Gambhir is India's head coach while Kohli is a senior player in the team.

Coming to Rohit Sharma, the Indian captain is known to forget things quite often. There have been many instances when Rohit has even forgotten his important things like his passport in the team hotel. Even on the field, Rohit Sharma often forgets the names of his players in the XI when asked during the toss.

India's upcoming international assignment

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be in action in India's upcoming Test series against Bangladesh. It will be a two-match Test series and will mark the start of India's Test season.

The series will also be Gautam Gambhir's first Test series as India's head coach. Gambhir's first assignment as coach was the tour of Sri Lanka where India played three ODIs and three T20Is. While India clean-swept the hosts 3-0 in the T20I series, Sri Lanka came back hard to win the ODI series 2-0.
